Welcome one and all to this blog, which chronicles the interesting happenings of this couple, namely Winston and Hellen, as we embark on a journey to plan our wedding in a year’s time.
I am Winston, an average Singaporean, who loves his fiancee dearly. Hellen, on the other hand, is an incredibly lovely and creative Indonesian girl, who never ceases to make me smile. She will take care of everything that requires imagination in our wedding, and I will chip in my 2 cents from time to time.
I hope we can update this blog as much as we can, detailing the preparation and thoughts we have when planning the various aspects of the wedding. I know I am long-winded, so I will try to write less and let the pictures do the talking.
A pretty (is this a pun?) recent photo of us… 14 months before the wedding.
Wonder what we will look like 14 months from now? Hmmm…
God said, “It’s not good for the Man to be alone; I’ll make him a helper, a companion.” God put the Man into a deep sleep. As he slept he removed one of his ribs and replaced it with flesh. God then used the rib that he had taken from the Man to make Woman and presented her to the Man.
The Man said,
“Finally! Bone of my bone,
flesh of my flesh!
Name her Woman
for she was made from Man.”
Therefore a man leaves his father and mother and embraces his wife. They become one flesh.Gen 1: 18, 21 – 24 (MSG)
