Enchanted Woodland Joint Celebration for Returning Clients
When our cherished clients—for whom we had previously designed a gallery photo walkthrough and magazine booth—approached us to celebrate their firstborn’s birthday alongside a surprise celebration for Dad, we were honoured to create something truly special for this dual milestone.
The journey began with collaborative venue scouting, leading us to recommend At Feast—a location whose natural woodland setting and spacious surroundings perfectly accommodated their 90 guests. As a couple who appreciates bold visual impact, we proposed decorations that would make an immediate impression while maintaining elegance.
Approaching the venue, guests were warmly welcomed by oversized cut-outs of trees, playful bunnies, fluffy clouds, and twinkling stars—highly visible yet harmoniously integrated with the natural surroundings. The entrance featured a deconstructed leafy forest arch interspersed with mini blue, white, and silver balloons that introduced the celebration’s colour palette.
Beyond the arch, guests discovered a gallery of wonder—eight life-sized photo displays (2×1 meters each) showcasing baby Baxley’s journey, all custom designed and precision-cut. These iconic graphics were thoughtfully scaled down and placed throughout the alfresco dining tables, accompanied by fresh centerpieces of wild daisies, blue hydrangeas, and eustomas. Pendant lampshades adorned with hanging mobiles created a serene atmosphere perfect for the little guest of honour.
Indoor tables continued the theme with balloon bouquets in matching colours and complementary fresh flower arrangements. For the all-important cake-cutting ceremony, we constructed a whimsical woodland backdrop using plywood and foamboard cut-outs of wild grass and rocks, bringing the outdoor enchantment inside. Anticipating photography needs, we enhanced the indoor foliage with fairy lights to ensure perfect lighting for capturing precious memories.
Our commitment extended beyond décor—our team of coordinators remained onsite throughout, ensuring flawless execution of this meaningful dual celebration. Seeing the joy on both birthday celebrants’ faces—one celebrating his first year of life, the other surprised by such thoughtfulness—reminded us why we do what we do.
