Planning a wedding can be daunting, which is why we’re here to help if you’re looking for help Among the many different aspects of wedding planning, hiring a good wedding photographer can be one that’s pretty pivotal to creating your wedding memories. The actual day of your wedding is going to be pretty hectic and the photographs and videos of this day are going to be the memories through which you can relive your big day.
Naturally, it is of utmost importance that you ensure that your pictures are going to be as perfect as your wedding itself and here’s where choosing your photographer and discussing your ideas with him/her come into the scene.
Choosing the right photographer :
After stalking Instagram, finalizing your budget and rummaging through options, you’ve finally found your wedding photographer (or you could just book an appointment with us and we’ll do all the work for you)
It is advisable that you discuss the below talking points with your photographer to get the frames right for your fairytale wedding
Important moments to document :
Most photographers are familiar with the moments that are special for the bride and groom, like the exchange of vows, that first kiss as man and wife, the first time the groom sees the bride in her dress…the list is probably endless. But, if you have any special instructions on certain guests of honor who need to be photographed or your grandmother who you want some memorable pictures snapped with, for posterity, do go ahead and write some notes down and share them with your photographer
The right kind of shots :
Need a particular picture of yourself and your dearest in the same pose that you saw on your favorite blogger’s pinterest board ? Don’t be shy, talk to your photographer about it.
The mood :
What mood do you want your wedding pictures to show ? While black and white pictures look great for some portraits, it’s not wise to ask for all your pictures in that tone – romantic , modern, summery or Victorian, discuss the mood and style you want your wedding pictures to embody. At Rosette Designs, we have different packages to help you decide and pick what you’re comfortable with.
Who will the contact person be for the wedding photographer ?
You can hardly collude with the photographer on your wedding day, so discuss with your fiancé in advance who the point of contact will be for your wedding photographer – it can be someone you trust and who you have discoursed the details with, earlier
Group photos and couple photos:
Of course, the wedding is all about the bride and the groom, but posing for group photos with friends and family is fun too. Talk to your wedding photographer about where you will want to pose for group photos so that he/she can plan the setting of lights and props accordingly.
Timing and Venues :
Even if they don’t state it themselves, time is extremely important for wedding photographers and they usually charge by the hour. Discuss the hours/dates that you would like to book your photographer for, and the event (reception, engagement, wedding, pre-wedding shoot etc.) , venues etc. Don’t forget to be on time ☺
We understand that all this can be tasking so we have packages to take care of all your wedding needs from the moment you say yes till you’re all dolled up in that dress! Talk to us for further details 🙂
