Congratulations! You’ve officially spent another year with your partner and it’s time to celebrate your wedding anniversary. As each year goes by, couples often feel the pressure to celebrate their union in the best way possible while also trying to keep it romantic, meaningful and youthful (haha, yes we know the feeling of ticking off years in the calendar).
Being part of the wedding industry, we want our couples to know our association with them doesn’t end once they’re married – so here are some easy, very doable and meaningful ways you can celebrate your anniversary.
Also, seeing as we are in the middle of a pandemic and cannot travel , we’re not going to suggest a “romantic getaway” to play a cruel joke on you guys.
Celebrate your wedding anniversary by visiting the place you first met
There’s something so whimsical about the first date or first meeting – even if you’re a couple who didn’t fall in love during your first meet. This helps you see how far you’ve come as individuals and a couple. Definitely brings out the feels !

Cook your favorite meal together
Personally, we think the way to everybody’s heart is through their stomach – men , women and everyone else. There’s nothing like a delicious meal paired with wine (or your favorite drink) for people to bond over.
This is also a cost-effective way and really doesn’t need you to do much except cook and the reward is some yummy (hopefully) foo

Watch your wedding video and revisit your wedding album to celebrate your wedding anniversary
Make the most of what you already have and go watch your old wedding videos and pics – this is definitely something that you can rope in kids and friends for, as well.

Spice up the ambience at home
No time like quarantine to plan a romantic date night right at home – it doesn’t cost much either. Add some pretty lights, light some candles, play some music and pull in your spouse for a romantic dance – no couple is too old for this!

Celebrate your anniversary with a surprise for your spouse
Surprise him or her with flowers, a voucher to their favorite brand, a voucher to take some time off from household chores, a spa day or even a handmade card or gift – these little things can go a long way.
Anniversaries reinforce the fact that what you and your partner share have stood the test of time – make sure it serves as a time to reflect, recollect and reinforce what your relationship means to you. Let’s remember that love and respect cost nothing, but showing them in the right way to your special someone can mean everything to them.
Happy anniversary to all our couples and everyone else! We are, because Love is.
